The following list of parts should serve as a guideline for building a stoked racing engine. Many of our used reconditioned parts are stronger and more affordable than many new ones currently available to the public. By building an engine with new and used parts you can achieve the reliability you need at a fair price. We would like to speak to you one on one to make sure all components will work properly for your individual application. For example: we would not recommend you using a set of Yates D3 fully ported Open style heads on a daily driven vehicle.

First - Start with a good block such as the M-6010-R454 block. This is a 9.2" deck block and has 302 main bearings. Please note that this is a dry sump block and it does not have provisions for a wet sump installation. However, it is possible to use a single stage external pump with a good aftermarket oil pan for a very simple and clean installation.

Second - Use a good set of reconditioned racing connecting rods manufactured by Pankl for RoushYates Racing Engines in the 6.2" rod length.

Third - Put all of this together using a Bryant 3.300" stroke crank from our used parts and you will have one strong bottom end to build on.

Finish the rotating assembly with a set of custom pistons, wrist pins and rings to match your application and you've got a custom built short block assembly that will work like you want it to.
